The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) serves both Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Among the commissions many duties, is to not only to plan for the development and on-going maintenance of our local park lands, but to also make those plans work. Montgomery County residents are fortunately able to enjoy alotted green space throughout the county. Among the parks managed by M-NCPPC are Rock Creek Regional Park, Cabin John Park, Black Hill Regional Park, Wheaton Regional Park and Little Bennett Regional Park. A map of these parks is available online. Rock Creek Park lies within and adjacent to Derwood.
